  1. Inter-port sports events were organised in alternate years starting from 1998/99 with other nearby regions including Macau, Guangzhou and Fuzhou on sports like badminton, hockey, swimming, volleyball, table tennis, etc.

  3. Data are to be collected from the Third International Mathematics and Science Study.
  4. Data are to be collected from the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study.
